For the first time in forever… These nails are inspired by the princess Anna
from the movie Frozen (2013). Each month I will bring you a new set of
nails based on a Disney princess, in the order of their release.
You’ll need:
Base coat
Top coat (I prefer Seche Vite)
Striper brush
Dotting tool
Neutral, royal blue, light blue, black, magenta, light pink,
gold, green, nude, silver, medium brown, gray, and white nail polishes (I used: NYC Quick Dry in 212 Mulberry
Street; Lancôme in a royal blue; OPI in Where’s My Czechbook?; Sally Hansen
Hard as Nails in 880 Black Heart; Essie in Big Spender; Pure Ice in Love; Love
My Nails in Gold Dust; Sally Girl in Adios; OPI in My Vampire is Buff; Sephora
by OPI in Queen of Everything; OPI in You Don’t Know Jacques! Suede; Sephora by
OPI in Dance Til Fawn; and Sally Hansen Hard as Nails in 110 Hard to Get)
Start with a base coat.
Paint your pinky nail, middle nail, and thumb neutral, and your ring and
index nails with royal blue on the bottom third, black in the middle, and
magenta on the top third.
Use the striper brush dipped in light pink to create a few
floating hearts on your pinky.
Use the dotting tool dipped in gold to create dots along the
edge where the royal blue and black polish meet on your ring and index
fingers. Then use the striper brush
dipped in green to create a zig zag line across the edge where the black and
magenta meet.
Use the striper brush to create Anna’s chin and mouth, and
the top of her dress and cloak on your middle finger. Then add two long brown braids, with a
neutral piece woven through the left braid.
Use the striper brush to create the gray outline of a troll’s
face on your thumb. Then use the striper
brush and dotting tool to add some definition and the details of his face, as
well as his mossy hair.
Finish with a top coat and you’re done!
