When you’re in the mood for a colder pumpkin spice treat,
that is still low in calories and easy to make, try this smoothie! It’s quick and tastes great as dessert or
even for breakfast. You can add protein powder
or any other add-ins you like in your smoothies!
Ingredients

1/2 cup pure pumpkin puree

1 cup milk (I used skim milk, you can use any
kind)

6 teaspoons agave nectar
·
1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
·
1/4 - 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
·
A drizzle of maple syrup
·
Ice
Put the pumpkin puree, milk, agave nectar, nutmeg and
cinnamon in a blender and blend well.
(If desired, combine all of those ingredients in the blender except the
full amount of agave nectar. Add small
amounts at a time until you reach your preferred level of sweetness.) Then drizzle a bit of maple syrup in the
smoothie and blend again. (The maple
syrup is to taste. I’ve found that a
little maple balances the flavor of the smoothie better than just agave
nectar. You may also use only maple
syrup and no agave if you wish.) Add ice
and blend very well, then enjoy!
